2025 “You Make A Difference” Kudos Board Activity

As fair board members, we are so busy preparing and living our fair that sometimes it takes another set of eyes to point out the positives! Introducing the “You Make a Difference” Kudos Board!

Visiting other fairs is a great way to share ideas and to support each other. Let’s recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the contributions, achievements, and positive behaviors of our fellow fair board members and volunteers.

Attention fair board members: Your mission when visiting another fair is to stop at their fair office and write down a “kudo” or a positive observation about that fair. Please sign and date your kudo as well.

Activity instructions for each Minnesota fair board:
1) During your fair, be prepared with sticky notes, index cards, paper, or card stock to collect kudos from board members visiting from other Minnesota county fairs.

2) Arrange and attach your kudos onto a 20” x 30” foam board. (This size foam board can be found at Walmart for about $3.00) Include the name of your fair on the foam board. ( Note: We are not competing for who has the most kudos or who has the fullest board. The purpose of this activity is for you to see how you are making a difference and to celebrate your positives.) If a fair does have room on their kudos board, they may add kudo notes from their own board members.

3) Bring your kudos board to display at the 2026 MFCF State Convention. Each fair that brings their kudos board to convention will be entered into a drawing. The drawing prize will be a free registration for the 2027 MFCF State Convention.

How many Minnesota County Fairs can you attend in 2025? Complete your passport with the name of the county fair, the date attending the fair, and obtain a signature from a director or fair board member of that fair.

Bring your passport to the 2026 MFCF Convention to compete for the top Minnesota County Fair Traveler.
